I was in Anaconda today and they are selling their Dyneema Braid real cheap. Down from $75.00 to $25.00 for 300m. Now thats a bargain. Not sure how long the sale lasts though.

Whats this about braid breaking at higher than its rated.

I was spunn that one......so I tested it........ berkly fireling 2Lb braid breaks at.........2 Lb........ welll what do you know.


Why would you label a fishing line at a specific breaking strain if it wasn't at least close............the entire concept of line strength based sports fishing would go out the window.

If any body makes a claom like that..... i would want to see proof with my own eyes..... under proper conditions too.

Whats with these guys trying to talk people into lighter lines all the time.

Sounds like when you get dusted on the lighter line you'll have to go back in to get the line you originally asked for....Cha Ching..another sale for them. No doubt you can get big fish on lighter line but you have to work a lot harder to do it.
That salesman's claims sound pretty spectacular. I went into that store the other day and had a look at the Jackall's, I was there for about ten minutes looking through them, the sales guy just stared at me from behind the counter like I was going to pinch them...very helpful. It was probably the same legend that served you. I got my Jackalls elsewhere
