I use the Tekota 700 for bottom bashing and am real happy with it, as are a number of the mates, and the missus swears by her 600.

I've used the Tekota 800 and thought it was a pretty good reel. It was smooth and the level wind is tough as. I reckon I'd like it even more if it had a lever drag instead of the star.

Yeh i guess thats what you sacrafice to have the level wind is most of them have the star drag.

I have a Tekota 700 and I just mated it to a 7 foot Live Fibre 8-15kg rod awesome combo. I am running 40 pound Maxima line and it seems to be very well mated. The level wind is great and it seems a lot smaller and lighter than such reels like the Tyrnos 20 which is a good thing if bottom bouncing.
