Hi there, we need a marine electrician (mobile preferred) to find a fault and relocate 2 batteries.
The fault looks like it is related to where the fuse at the input to the charging regulator keeps blowing and the circuit breaks, so no ignition or power to the console.
Initially the boat was in storage and ignition key was left on, it ran main battery down so we removed it and found it be stuffed. So new battery put in, now no joy as it keeps blowing fuses.
Is it a waste of time having a charging regulator on 3 batteries hooked up to a 115HP merc efi. Would they really get much charge or would it be simpler to relocate batteries to front and isolate from starting battery and electrical system?
thanks for the help,
