tuggerah lakes is a red hot fishing destination. but for those how dont know how to fish think the place is rubbish. me and me mates have fished tuggerah lakes and believe that we know it pretty dam well. with successfull catches every time we go out. the gear we use is small threadline outfits, generally 2-4 kg rods with 2500 spinning reels, and 6lb braid matched with 6lb fluro carbon.
personally the reason to our success is LURES, lures are the best way to fish an aera. the lures we use are called ( quick get your pen and write this down ) softies rackgliders, in pumpkin seed colour, the best lure i have ever used, other lures will work, but i have had soo much success with these lures, i rarly give other lures a go.
i rig these lures up with a 1/0 hook with a 1/22 oz to a 1/32 oz berkley nitro jigheads. which r know fitted with owner hooks.
check out some pf the photos that i have attached, this is on a pretty good day out, but certinatly not our best.
hope this thread helped some of use out, and i will hope to see some of use out on the water
p.s if u ever see 3 blokes in a boat with an electric on the front, call us over, we will fill use n on the spots.
cheers
