well done again Mate,
your really slaying em this year hey.
Great Effort.
Had a couple of sessions today and yesterday at the magical jack land.
I hit the water with another jack addict with our so called undergunned gear around 6.30 yesterday. with the first cast fired in i hookup and put a healthy litte jack on the deck 30-35cm.Persisted on for about an hour seeing some red devils but no solid hook ups. Had a good solid fish on that played up but managed to throw the treble after nailing straight towards the boat.
We got to 1 pontoon were i lobbed the big prawn into a nice little crevice and had a big red flash but no hook up. Lobbed it back in again on the so called undergunned gear 16lb leader and 6lb main line and this time came up tight.
Straight away this fish played up like mums old vidio player and was stripping line at a great rate of knots. I had the rod burried under water up to the reel to try and keep the fish away from the stucture. I couldnt get back on the electric to pull him out so there was some ducking, weaving and alot of swearing at my brother to head for the middle. The fish had another 2 solid runs and then finally was subdued and the chunk was slid into the net. On the mat and the fish went 54cm and quite healthy too.
fished on for half hour and called it a day.
Hit the water this morning with another jack addict and he talked me into a sparrows fart start and on the water and casting at 4.30. It wasnt long and i was forced to deal with the loss of another HB as the knot didnt hold. Note to self rigg up night before not when half asleep at 3 in the morning.
Not long after this i had a small jack that pinned himself on the side of the face and launched clear out of the water and 2ft in the air. quick pic and he was off.
A few more casts and i had a mid 40cm fish smack me at the back of a boat and cut some water and put me through the prop that he called home. 2 fish in an hour that had smoked me and i wasnt too happy about it but suicidal casts should probably not be made on the 6lb gear.
In between all the action there were quite a few cod to keep us interested with 7 or 8 finding the deck for today.
While i think its time for a change of lure as the sun has got a bit higher and i go for something alittle more natural, Rich (OOPS i mean my jack addict mate as we are trying to keep our identities a secret now) Starts loosing his shit! Did you see the size of that as his rod is loaded up he was carrying on like a kid at a 5 year olds party, people coming out of nearly every house to see what all the comotion was about. And this very excitable bloke puts a 47cm fish on the deck. (Gee Adelaide must have really taken a toll on him) Few quick pics and finally got the balls up to put my camera underwater and get some shots on release.
Fished on for about half hour with a few more half hearted strikes but nothing sticking
Gear i used for the hard bods was loomie forcelite matched with a zillion and 16lb yamatoyo super pe. Plastics was my custom shortened procaster z and a sol 2000 with 6lb fireline. 16lb fc rock leader used in all applications. No 80lb handlines here boys Rich might be able to inform you what he was using when he gets back online on Tuesday.
Just wanted to have a bit of fun with this report after some of the comments in one of my previos posts hope you guys can see the funny side and take it in as it was written, light heartedly
Cheers Anonymous

If you wish to learn more about reading and getting the most from your Lowrance units or learning more about fishing with artificial baits I will come out in the comfort of your own boat for one on one coaching. Please call for more information.

Brilliant session boys, looks like something out of the black and white minstrels fishing club
Hey Nick,
How do you find the rod matches up on the zillion
Where did you get the forcelight and how much did it set you back
Cheers,
Ben
Bugger, I dropped my monitor when turning it upside down for the first photo.
Good stuff guys.
