They have cables to join Humminbird sounders to various handheld gps units including Garmin. Be aware of the price however. Last time I checked they wanted around $150. At that price I decided I could live without it.

If you could get one of the humminbird connectors it would easy enough to make. The Garmin end is really simple, just have to find the pinout on the humminbird end which is probably in a manual somewhere..
