    Snaps/Sps- North Moreton

Ventured out yesterday North of Cape Moreton. Weather pretty good. Left from Spinnker (Bribie)- late start 7am on the water.

Caught three noteable snapper largest went 80 cm,another mid 70 's,another 60's- also a few horse mac tuna thrown in. Soft plastics producing were Squidgy flickbaits,Bass assassins- electric chick, Berekley glup jerk shad 5' nuke chicken(got love em)- ssshhhh - we wont tell the pure soft placy guys. Jig heads- Rowlemn.

Other high lights- whales still around- saw one putting on awesome show. Few hammer heads around. Saw a few kingies but could not get amongst them- tried a few methods- no luck.

    Great day.

    Fishpod,

Mr Wong( on this site aka Norm)makes Rowlenm jigheads- choice of hooks gamakatsu, mustad, eagle claw- 1/4- 1 oz few different patterns- well put to together and more ecnomical than the shop prices.I dont use anything else now a days.

    Ged,

tight lines- its pretty addictive stuff

    Jez and Suze,

Reference the kingies- saw them under the boat and had a few follows- out around hutchies

    cheers

Nice reds there. One day i hope to venture out that way and bag me a bigger one in the deeper water. Mine all come out of very shallow water on dusk. Well done.

    Hi guys,

Not new here, just havent been on for a few yrs.

Have bought a 5.8 mt southwind centre console to replace my 4mt hornet, so looking to fish a bit farther afield. Havent been over to the cape yet as the weather hasnt been too kind, however how long does it take from spinnakers? 'Bout 1/2 hr? I've got a few marks for hutchies and brennons, but just keen to go and have a look really,

    cheers
