    Question Somerset in style

I've noticed there's been no reports on somerset in the last short while. Has anyone fished there lately? I've got next week off work so the plan is to take a day trip to up there and try my luck.
Any advice on how its been fishing would be greatly appreciated!
Even if they're all bad reports I'll probably still go anyway, just because I can!

    Thanks in advance,

    Cheers DARC

Mate sorry for late reply but got some picks from Somerset in June - before recent rain Dam around 27% full and sept 07 around 43% full. Bass , yellas and redclaw galore We had 4 families in June and 6 families in Sept and we all caught plenty of fish. these yellas in pics around 47cm mark and the bass on the right was a 53. Jackals me matey! Go to kirkleigh visit Kree the park manager and away you go.

Kirkleagh or Somerset Holiday Park as they call it now is the best place to camp there (IMO). Your boat will be fine but you'll need a stocked impoundment permit at $7 a week or $35 a year, this covers you and the missus, anglers under 18 don't need one. you will also need a Somerset boating permit at $15 a week, all permits can be aquirred at the camping groung. Fishing is good at the moment, sliders, heavy spinnerbaits and masks. Try around Pelican Point.
    Plenty of info at http://www.sweetwaterfishing.com.au/Somerset.htm
    Good luck
