Set up trailer for beach towing

Has anyone modded a Sealink 19 trailer for taking up the beach. Considering Fraser next year for the fishing comp with the new 600 Fisher Maxi.
Will be two Landcruiser utes both aftermarket turbos 4.2 diesel. One for support one to tow. Both are able to tow the boat though. What size wheels are able to be put on? Someone mentioned about getting the trailer wheels to follow the same track as the vehicle. So that the trailer was not having to push the sand.

A friend towed a 19ft cruisecraft up there with his pajero and had no problems getting across indian head/waddy. He said he just lowered the psi to 12 instead of the usual 20, chose 2nd low range, kept the revs up and he got through while others were getting bogged. His trailer was unmodified. Not sure if he lowered the trailer pressure to 12 as well. Probably a good idea to get the trailer foot bigger as well.

There is only a couple of sections. Eeither side of indian head and waddy, plus getting on and off the barge on the mainland side that is really bad. Around waddy itself has some pretty average sections as well, but not as bad as getting on and off the beach.

I would probably pump the tyres back to 20 for the main trip up and down the beach.

No need to modify a trailer for beach work. As Cheech suggested, tyre pressure is important.

Towing a 2.5 ton boat we lower tyres to 15lbs on car and trailer and always...always snatch through Indian head and middle beach areas.

Boats of 1 ton etc, I believe there is no need to snatch, just adjust the tyre pressures.

Also, if you intend placing the springs on top of the axles you will find you'll have to drown the trailer further into the surf to launch the boat. Keep it standard.

Although, if you have a boat longer than say 4.5mtrs, a extended drawbar could be an advantage. How long... 2.5 to 3mtrs.

Mate when you get to Indian Head and you see others getting bogged then let your tyre down on you vehicles and trailer and thn hook up a double snatchem strap to your other vehicle and them put both vehicles in 2nd gear and then get your revs up and go for it.
