    NMEA compatable handheld gps

    has anybody got there hand held gps connected to there dsc radio and fish finder? if so what gps are you using?

    I've been using a garmin venture to feed nmea data to a laptop for chartplotting, don't see why you couldn't point the data at the fish finder or radio instead

    Garmin with a 010-10086-00 data cable or a 010-10082-00 power/data cable will allow you to connect to another device and send/receive nmea data.

    i use the garmin etrex connected to a raymarine ds500x via the data cable.
