I got one at the tackle n tinnie show years ago.

60 bucks, i would imagine most tackle shops could put you onto one.

Bloody thing is a raper of the sea. Gotta get as many of the lively looking ones back into the water asap on most occasions. Its scary how many fish you can haul in one sweep.

Are they even legal? The size of the mesh is the critical thing isn't it?

Excuse my ignorance, but i haven't used it in a while but am keen on using it to get together a few mullet for a night Jack session soon.

    Seine nets

(commonly known as bait nets in tidal waters)
A seine net may be used by a person under 15 years of age only if that person is supervised by someone older than 15. The net must not exceed 16 m in length, 3 m in drop and must have a mesh size no greater than 28 mm. The net must not contain a bag, pocket or similar device. The use of the net is subject to the following conditions:
    • it must not be anchored, staked or fixed
    • no part of the net containing fish must be out of the water other than to immediately remove fish from the net for release
    • all regulated fish, and fish not intended to be taken, must be released into water deep enough to allow the fish to escape.
