Re: Nerang River Locations
well the council chambers are a start ( put they are pretty popular and can get crowded) ill give you this advice make sure you take live bloodworms and pump some yabbies as well. then head up to the river just 1 hr before dark ,set yourself up *fish light with 6lb mainline and 4lb leader* i wouldnt fish all nite as the action dies around 2 am normally.
find any sand bank with a depth of 1-3m and anchor your self over this.
anymore info just pm

Re: Nerang River Locations
lots of stingrays and yabby holes is a good sign. also, banks with small patchy areas of weed(dont fish in weed though) seem to be productive banks. sometimes hard to see if water is murky. dont be scared of VERY shallow water(unless your boat says so). Get in as shallow as you can for the boat that you drive. I used to whiting fish the pin area in 3m stessl and found my biggest fish came from drifting with motor up in water that was 1.5-2ft deep. Drifting with yabbies is great for flatties to.

Re: Nerang River Locations
The Whole stretch of river from the Thomas street bridge to the corner of the council chambers on the southern side of Chevron island has seen me get plenty of Whiting also out in the Broadwater on one of the many Sandbanks.

I go to the 'river' with my dad Darryl and we fish at the Council Chambers overnight at Christmas.
