    NPD morning session

Fished the dam yesterday morning and managed 5 average to rat bass and a nice yella. Hard goin until i found the bass. I was casting out quite far but got them all 10/15 mts out coming up over a ledge. cant afford jackalls so was using a dogey Gvibe which caught all the fish. i was quite shocked as I have never rated them much at all. All fish were caught within an hour period before the wind picked up. The yella was caught with a much slower almost stop start retrieve to the bass which were caught with a slow roll along the bottom.

well done fishfreak. It funny how a unrated lure that sits in your tackle box can get little love and then one day just turn it on. I had a plastic grub in my collection from a QFM subrcription feebie show bag. it was a wilson grub with a solid yellow body and solid red curl tail, just like the lifesavers colours. I called it Clubbie! it sat in my bag for 2 or more years before i pulled it out and put it on a jighead just for a laugh to see if it would get anything......after several hits it came up trumps on a nice flatty. I had a new favourite......for a few more casts untill it got left on a submerged tree. Haven't seen anything like it since.

    Nice going fishfreak .
Those G vibes certainly have there place, I think I've got about four in my bass box at the moment. There are lot's of cheaper lipless crankbaits than Jackalls on the market, which if fished correctly will bring in the bass.
What colour G vibe did you hook them on ? I don't mind the clear one with the blue pearl sheen. Slightly resembles a little boney bream.

Better than no bass at all, good stuff!
Theres a black G-vibe I keep seeing that if I was ever forced to use a G-vibe it would be that one, I had the same black Jackall and it caught loads. Still lots of yellows being caught at the dam aswell.

The g- vibe should never be underestimated i find i works well in the darker colors, but it still will never replace Jackalls however they are good for their price. Good little report mate i will be heading there in a few weeks when i get a day of work ha Ha ha and will be chucking Jackalls for sure. Cheers Chris
