To the Kayak out for a paddle on Sunday arvo,Spoke to the old lady and she said the air pressure was up so i was keen as. Did some trolling with a micro mullet and a jackall, nothing for a while so decided to drift and throw the jackall around a rocky ledge,i read in a magazine that morning to use jackalls at rocky areas. 2nd cast felt the lure bouncing on the rocks so i lifted the rod up,but i actually had a fish on,got him close to the yak, then he really put in the hard yards, managed to grip him with the grips and take a pic,he measrued 44cm to the tail,(thats where i measure them to),very next cast, bang on again, this one felt bigger, same thing near the yak and he was off,got a qucik glimps of him, bloody hell, they gold coast must have heard me hooting, managed to grip him aswell and take a pic,47cm.
Bloody awesome fun and a great fighting fish, now i have to break the 50cm mark.
