Hi Jamie,
bdowdy fished there a little while ago a i believe he got some small fish. your better off asking his better half as she catches all the big ones.
On a more serious note i'm planning a trip to moogera and maroon in the next few weeks. perhaps you can let me know how its going if you get there first.
good fishiing

Re: whats maroon dam fishing like lately ?
Was out at Moogarah last weekend and landed 12 bass from bout 25 - 36cm and 1 yella 35cm. All fish released. All caught on the troll between 8.30 - 12.30am.
Water is very low and launching almost requires 4x4. I put the 4.3 tinnie in using the commodore but the mud is so sticky the only way to retrieve was with the trailer almost out of water. Thankfully my trailer has all rollers for easy loading.

Hi Jamie
Maroon is fishing OK at the moment, it looks like an algae bloom has temporarily killed off the weedbeds.
BUt was up there last Friday for a very quick 3 hour fish and whilst we scored none on poppers we scored 6 nice fish on spinnerbaits in the last half an hour.
Even though we got the fish around the weedbeds they were still heavily roed up females.
The water clarity is not really helping the popper fishing. Once the water clears a little I think it will be the old "bait up behind the tree"
Only trouble is launching is getting a hassle, the hotter days has the water level dropping quickly and it is nearly getting to 4x4 launch only.
Had another mate who fished on Sunday and scored 4 nice bass on G Vibes cast to the shallows.....
Cheers
