Took the kids for another fish,Tegan 10 and Riley 2 1/2,bought some prawns and headed for Hope Island. Found a protected spot and away they went, first of all threw out for Riley and he cant help himself and starts winding in straight away, after a few minutes of TRYING to teach him to wait he finally gets the hint and leaves it out. Next baited up Tegans rod and showed her how to cast, she picked it up straight away,(she never really got into fishing, smelly and dirty she reckons). Well after a while of baiting there hooks and casting out and basically running around like a headless chook, Riley finally gets a hit,so he starts winding in with the look on his face you would have thought it was a Great White, then up comes his 2nd ever fish,he was jumping for joy, yelling out "look sissy fishes".
Then it was Tegans turn, she felt a few taps and started to wind, she pulls up a little Whiting,Se starts saying now she like fishing. With a proud smile on the face we let it go. After a few more times of running backward and forth,Riley gets his 3rd fish, but by this time he is getting pretty tired and it took some convincing for him to get a pic taken,he also release the fish.
All in all was a great afternoon with the Missus and kids.
Looks like more trips are ahead. All fish were pretty small but its the look on theire faces that counts for me.
Cheers
