    Lesson Learned.

Looking back it was a stupid thing to do but anyway. Came back home late arvo after a days fishing on airlie beach Charter boat the JILLIAN II. Incredible Day out about 8 ppl fishing and finished up with 44 Nanygai, 13 Reds 1 11kg Trev and 2 Nice big cod, a few other bits and pieces. In my defence I had enjoyed the odd pale ale through the course of the day. 1 or 2, ok 20. So the girls picked us up from the boat and we went back to the accom. We didnt have enough room in the icebox so i quickly throw the remainder in the freazer. My wife had rang and asked for a late check out for the next morning but was refused. So on went the night and a couple more brews. Woke up late in a mad rush to pack. Just about to leave and i remembered, Better get those fish ay. Walked to the freezer to find one solid block of fish taht wasnt going to move in a hurry. Took about an hr and half to defrost the freezer with boiling water. Safe to say we werent to popular at reception. Cleaned all the water of the floor as best we could but im guessn it wouldv had a fishy smell when it dried. Moral of the story. take the time to put your fish in bags.

P.S Would highly recomend this vessel for a days fishing. Very comfortable Cat and friendly crew.

    Ryan,

Well done on the fishing front. Is there any reason why the charter operators didn't have these fish on ice? Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't it get hot up there?

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges
