    Fuel/oil stale/adding

Hopefully picking up my s/h boat this week, and still asking questions.

Engine is a 03/04 evin 115 DI on a stacer 525, based in bayside brissy

    1) I guess the boat has been at the yard for 2 months, should I ask them to drain out any fuel ?

    2) Refulling. I presume its standard unleaded ( says 90 RON ) in manual ). Do you just pull in at the servos ? Any recommend in bayside for easy access ( new to trailers )

    3) Oil. Its got 2L in the tank, how long will that last for ?

    4) Recommend Evin service in Bayside

1 yeah I would, also evacuate any fuel in line up till the engine, you may have answered your stumbling on deceleration question right here.

2 Yeah I guess so, our standard unleaded is good for your compression numbers but it is the upper limit (of coarse there is always the wildcard of the mechanics guage reading consistantly high). The manual would have it right, regardless, do what it says never lower but also no need to go appreciably higher either.

3 depends on use trolling only sips the oil, full throttle gulps it (all relative), regardless there is more than enough for a few hours of travel no matter what you do. Always carry extra on board to save coming home at a forced reduced rpm, been there before, was a long trip!

    cheers fnq
