After the long wait of waiting for the water to warm up,finaly scored my jack for the new season. Got some nice size poddies with the net and went to local haunt. After a goo 15-20min wait with not a hit,the rod finally got some taps, then 1 good hit and was on,straight away it had to be a jack,he was heading straight for the snags at a great knott.Saw some colour and was stoked to get my new season acoount open, was only a small one but a jack is a jack, quick pic and he was released.
Had another flick on the way to work this morning, threw out some sps,4th cast felt a bit of weight, then a few small head shakes, thought flattie but only a tiny one, then as i got him closer to the rocks,he put in a few good hard runs, then i was convinced he was a bit bigger, landed him took the pic and let him go.
Fingers crossed for a cracker jack season.
Cheers
