Going to Kalinga Bank on Sunday, and would appreciate a few hints on how to catch a few flatties (or anything!). What do you suggest as to lures, bait, rigs.Cheers.

i use live bait (herring & mullet) and drift for flatties at this location
pillies also are a good bait to use, so take a block as you will go thru
this many in a few hours.
also there is many snags there..so take plenty of tackle.
u might find sunday's fishing a bit slow, as the flathead classic is on now
until saturday and this spot would have coped a hiding.

Hi. I don't do a lot of flathead fishing out at the Pin, but I see a lot of guys drifting past us and tossing small soft plastics. Having seen some of the fish they pull out beside our boat, it seems to be a pretty successful method. Shame I am too lazy to try it myself! Good luck.
