I've eaten bullsharks many a time as long as they are less than 4foot, less mercury in their system. 3 to 4 foot is good, make sure you sharpen your knife many times when you fillet these buggers. Knifes get blunt very quickly. Deep fry in beer batter. Peter
I agree dave, smaller sharks up to 80kg hook very nicely with cirles. but with the larger fish, j pattern are more of an option IMO, unless the circle trails the bait and you can foul hook it. very hard to make the gape exposed adequately when a circle hook is applied to a larger bait.
Hi cuzza never used a j hook, then again never hooked a noah bigger than 20kg i only fish the bay in my tinnie so i try to target the under 4ft noah's. They taste the best.
hope e dencraft don't come across sharks that big, would be interesting to watch Who's gunna get the hook out.
