Bought tinnie on weekend need info
I bought a 12 foot tinnie on the weekend with a 15 hp evinrude. bought it of my uncles mate and my uncle had worked on engine so he knew it ran fine.
Needed a new fuel pump thing so didn't get to see the engine running myself.
Bought it and havn't been able to get the engine running myself yet. i am taking it to my uncles on friday who is a mechanic.
Just wondering if anyone with same engine has any tips etc if their engine wont start.
going by the model number thread it says the engine is a 98 however i think it would be an 80's model . has been repainted so it does look different it has a carby if that helps

looks very similar to my 86 model evinrude 15HP
They like a bit of throttle to start when cold.
I had starting probs with mine and got the carby cleaned out and she starts on 1/2 a pull now when warm and a few pulls when stone cold
