    Does anybody know if there is a gps or navigation course run in the mackay area

    I'd say the VMR base may run navigation courses. I'm pretty sure an old friend of mine did one a couple of years back.

    I noticed there's not a lot of replies to your post. I don't think there's a lot of ausfish members in the area.

    thanks steve , tried vmr n there is a bloke that runs a course but nobody has seen him 4 a while anyway u get out fishing much n have any success ive been around the islands n only caught little stuff

    try your local TAFE they run that sort of stuff all the time, however, most run it in conjuction with a coastal navigation course, because a GPS is not for true navigation (sort of) it is just a means of finding quickly Lat and Long to be used with a proper chart.
