Hello everyone,
I am thinking about heading to Fraser Island in about a weeks time, but I am wondering if there is much weed about the island.Its alright if there is patches you can fish but hopeless if there isn't.Have the tailor numbers improved at all? Thanks.
Doing the school holiday family adventure thing leaving tomorrow and back next Saturday, will post a report on both fishing and weed upon return. Hope you can wait until then.
a mate just told me going north of waddy is your best bet at the moment, but even then there's been days of later, right up to the cape. mate i really hope the bas@ard stuff stays away for you, as there's just nothing worse.
I hope to get the same info, as well as what is getting caught at the moment. We will be doing the family holiday at Noosa 4-7 and a house at Orchid beach 7-14 and plan to be hitting the beaches for the arvo/morning sessions after tailor, whiting and worming.
Just returned from 9 days at Cathedral Beach area. No weed there. Appeared to be weed from Waddy up viewable from the beach on a trip we made to the lighthouse. Though I did not fish that area. Is just what it looked like. Had a great gutter about 4k nth from cathedral shop. Not thick, but no problem getting a feed and a half each session. Couple of nice greenbacks that went 70cm, but most around 40 - 45cm.
