Watch out for made in China 9kg Gas Bottles. The following attachment was received as an email today. I had not seen it before and thought it might be a good idea to post it here.

Handy thing to watch out for. You can see how easy it would be to cause a major incident if you weren't aware of the possibility that this could happen.

HHMM another reason to buy quality, just posted a couple of replies to a thread about Chinese goods, it all comes down to the fact, that WE keep buying them, they will keep making them, if you have a good gas bottle and a cheap one, when they are both empty, the good one weighs twice as much as the cheap one, because the steel is half as thick, I have a mate that does gas bottle testing, and he has tested some old (say) Primus bottles that are 25 years old, and still test good, but he will not even test the Chinese cheapies, most will fail when still "in date" but, I have one at home as a spare (much to his disgust) so I guess i can blame myself as well!
