I guess this forum was aimed at the elitist form of bream fishing (Hard & Soft lures) ... rather than baitfishing. The luring side of the sport is really good fun as it is an active form of fishing against what can be a cunning / finicky fish to catch that require light gearAdd to this so many different scenarios - flats , oyster racks , snags , deep water , weed beds , bridge pylons , reef etc etc ..... & the little bream becomes a decent adversary ..... Hence the use of pretty specialised gear & a fair bit off it ! (You can easily use 4 types of outfits in a session.... & thats where the $$$ come into it)
One other point is the access to great fisheries right around the country & most at our doorsteps.... There are very few fish that fall into that category.
:undecided: ..... About the big flash glass boats with 250HP on the back ..... Not for me ! ..... I'd be too scared to take it into the racks & aside from bream & bass fishing what do you do with it ?....... But If you fish Tournies for $10,000 + .... so be it... Nagg
