Yeppoon / Kepples Sunday 16 Sept

Well if the weather stays as it has for the past week the options will be endless.

Was thinking about a run up to Perforated / Flat
But then again maybe Liza Jane would be worth a try (got a few good marks around divided if all else fails - If I go south)

If you are out and about on sunday we will be somewhere not too far away

VHF 21 Call sign SC789 or M'n'M or bay firey should find me.
    Cheers
    Mark

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges

Up here we Use Hussar as baits for real RED FISHS (SHSIIFDER)

    How'd you go JT?

We went to Karamea Bank overnight Saturday and got 12 Red Throat and a few Hussar and not much else!

We tried in closer and got nothing so made the run right out to Karamea. A bit disappointing for the fuel we burned!

Hey guys, i fished leacheys on sunday morning for similar results, a few hussar, a nice grassy and a parrot. Let go a couple of just undersized reds and a moari cod. The trigger fish were a pain in the ass as well as the iodine bream. Went out in a tinnie of my mates and that may be the last time in it because my back was shattered.I think i will be out in mine saturday night, dont know where yet.

You know these make good flesh strips for bait?

Yeah mate i was using them for bait but it was just slow fishing. I watched a couple of other boats and it looked like they were moving around a bit aswell, trying to source a feed.

Yeah I know what you mean.......it has been that way for the last few trips we have done. We even went to Karamea Bank last weekend and whilst we did get a feed of Red Throat, it wasn't anywhere near what I was expecting for 50nm out!

Looks like most missed out Had one mate go to N/west island and the other out to masthead and Sykes ,both spent 20hrs on the water and were lucky to bring a feed home. Polky.

I don't mind the 20hrs on the water.....it is the 200+ litres of fuel that hurts, when you divide the cost by the number of fish!
