did ya get them on that loomis you got. top stuff mate i wish i was there with ya, what colour popper you scraching off, i have an old black one that can go the scrach treatment. r u close to the sunny coast

so far i have fished a few different rivers and creeks but most is done in the tweed.
my mate has been getting alot more and bigger fish at the pin and seaway.
any river that has whiting will take poppers.

not in the Seaway i hope youd have to be good to catch one on a popper there

no need for a boat when your fishin 30cm of water.

Great thread, I wanna give that a go. What sort of gear do you use?

try fishing a 2000 to a 2500 size reel for the bigger spool capacity for longer casts and a long sensitive rod range betweeen 6 foot 8 in and 7 foot and use quality line such as 2lb flourocarbon straight through and 1 to 3lb berkley fireline crystal,
it helps to have good poppers i have had awsome luck on strike pro rack poppers with owner stinger hooks because it does help and the reason why i only use strike pro and bubble pops is because everyone want a rebel pop-r and mostly all little poppers work and alot of people dont understand it so i hope this helps mate and good luck
