Well had my pride and joy Hammered two weeks ago in the back left hand panel by a mercedes compressor so ring the insurer and take it to their recommended repairer so over i go for them to inspect the damage and then he starts talking about writing it off .

No way im thinking not giving up me truck Just put new tyres 3 weeks ago and rebuilt the transfer case a month ago only rust is in the sun roof and a fiberglass one was next on the agenda.

So ring my insurer and say ill find my own repairer which i did at just over half the price of the first quote.

So in she goes tuesday and wont be ready till the following thursday so I need a car for 9 days so up pops oldest son and says I can borrow his van that he has just put a new motor and gearbox in as he has his 4bie he can use for work mind you I haven,t seen It yet so over he comes My god its a bloody pram suzuki carry .

Well talk about being intermediated by big cars when your driving a roller skate
and isn,t it funny when driving something that your not sure of that all the idiots
are out in front of you .

By friday my lips where getting quite sore from gravel rash as every time I got out of the van I would imitate the pope . picked up my sahara this afternoon very happy with the work done on it.

Ahhh forgot what power steering and auto was like and the crick in my neck from stooping down to look out the windscreen is starting to go .

Phone call from oldest could you drive the van up to me and Ill drive you back home reply no Ill drive up pick you up and you can drive it back.

If you stand on the brakes in an empty " carry " you can left the rear wheels off the ground.

Came close on that one a few times and if you get on the freeway next to a truck it doesn,t matter how much you take your foot off the throttle you still get sucked along with it the hardest part was getting out of the slip stream stay on four wheels- stay on four wheels now mums into him to get rid of it after my nine days of winging about it.
