is a bit of a can of worms but well worht it, makes for interesting veiws and experiances

Should also be asking which brands are actually servicable. Meaning some brands are sealed and when they stuff up they get thrown in a pile & replaced with only 30 days warranty or replacement unit.
Also which brands have service centres & turnover times in pertinant...

Had a mate wait 6 weeks for a replacement which also died 5 weeks later & you guessed it, only 30 days on replacement saw him out of pocket lots.

After the deal I got from Raymarine when my 435 played up I can't speak highly enough of them..

Replaced a unit that was 2 years out of warranty with an upgraded unit (c70 and GPS antenna) and It only cost me $425.....and I got a full warranty with it

Try getting a deal like that out of ANY other brand.
