    Affinity Drag

I have a Penn Affinity thats a year or so old. It has had a fair bit of use SP Snapper and spinning light slugs for pelagics. Recently the drag has been giving me grief and what was silky smooth is now quite jerky after a few good fish. I have serviced it a few times and have run it as a wet drag with some Erskine Silky reel drag grease.
Any ideas for getting it back to its best? It is a different style of drag compared to my others but does not seem to be showing any signs of wear

    Cheers

I have a Penn Applause that did exactly the same thing.
Drag material looks like a woven canvas, usually best run dry, but it came wet as new.
I tried cleaning and drying it out, but no good, so I replaced it with lightly greased leather washers and is a lot better.
    Cabon would be ideal.
