Standard Horizon-HELP
Just got a Standard Horizon cp180i from USA. I am trying to use it with a Cmap Max C Card bought here, it wont work, is there a reason I dont know about. The GPS is working fine but it wont acknowledge the card is there. The system check says card not present.
I've gone through the instruction manual and cant find anything.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers Tazy

Hi Tazy,
I live here in the states. I'll give Standard Horizon a call and see what I can find out for you. I'll get back to you when I know something.

Re: Standard Horizon-HELP
Hi Tazy,
I spoke with tech support at Standard Horizon and he says that the C-Map card is plug and play, that there is nothing you need to do other than plug the card into the unit. He said that if the system check is showing the card not found that the card reader inside the unit is not plugged in. You will need to send it back for an exchage or repairs.
Wish I had a better answer for you.
Good Luck!

Re: Standard Horizon-HELP
Thanks guys for the replies.
I got it checked out by Trymax, these guys were fantastic for helping me out, they checked the card and it was ok, they checked the machine and it was ok but together the two wouldn't work. About a one in a million shot they reckoned that they wouldn't work together, every other card they tried in the machine worked fine. So the two just didn't want to go together.
Bought the machine Scuba Steves service was prompt had it within 7 days.
The unit seems to be excellent and easy to use. Heading out at the weekend to try it out .
