    Northstar Internal GPS Antenna

    Can anyone tell me if they have experienced any problems with these Chart Plotters (Explorer 550's), that have built in antenna's as opposed to the externally mounted ones? Just wondering if they have as good a reception of signals, or any known problems?

    Hi Pingers, yep got one of these, with an internal arial, use it on a centre console, no problems, have just ordered a new one for the Centre Cab, w/ an external arial, as the other wont dash mount with the inbuilt ariail, lot cheaper than the Navman and same unit and built at Navman in NZ.
