Little Help with a jigging/bottom bash combo

    Gday all,
Wondering if any of yous can help out a young fella.. Ive just picked up a shimano speedmaster on the cheap and need a new stick to use it on.. Im looking at trying to jigg up a few trout etc up north and not too sure what length/ weight of rod to match it with. Im a bit of a handliner and havn't got into rods much bar trolling sticks... Thinking of something with not too much flex as l dont like messing around... Ive Rigged it with 50lb braid..

    Any help Would be great

    Tight Lines all...

I personally like the Silstar Crystal Blue Powertips Jig Rods for the price range you're looking at. I have a Crystal Blue myself, but not in a jig rod. Very, very happy with it so far. The 15-24kg model should be stiff enough for you. Price is around the $165 mark, but I see that Issac has (had) one advertised for sale. It's now on page 2 in the For Sale Rods & Reels Section, for an excellent price. See below ...

    - Silstar Crystal Blue Power Tip Heavy Jig Rod, 6', Line weight 15- 24kg, CB-601-JSH, vgc - bought for $165 - Sell $100
Depending on postage and that sort of thing, I would be going for this one personally, providing it's still for sale.

Sorry, just saw in your message to Issac that it's an overhead, I mistakenly thought it was a TSS4. I see Swano has a T-Curve 400 for sale for $185. More expensive, but a significant saving on new price, would be well suited to your reel. Otherwise I would still go with a Crystal Blue Jig in an overhead.

lol, just noticed that too, but the advice is the same, just go for the o/head versions
