    Redclaw

    Hi Fellow Ausfishers ..... With an upcoming trip to Qld ..... Is it worth taking some traps for redclaw ?? ... We will be fishing (Cania , Peter Faust , Awoonga & maybe Monduran) ...... Nagg
    PS ..... any advice or updates would be appreciated

    Don,t know if it was too cold, or I,m unlucky or what but I had no luck recently with pots at several barra dams useing meat, fish heads, potatoes, etc. I have heard people say you will struggle for redclaw anywhere the barra are big in size or numbers, but I,m no expert

    Mate I'm no expert, but I always take a few pots when I venture to Tinaroo.

    Have always done rather well using fish baits, in about 5-6 metres, setting pots around structure. You always seem to find one snag that producess lift after lift.

    Was last up there in summer, after all the rain, but were still pulling some horses out although there were less of them.
