Talking The weather is dropping...! (Nth Qld)

Well the weather is slowly coming down and i've spent plenty of (work) time watching it over the last few days.

What are everyones plans this weekend...? I have no doubt that with the Strand looking like a duckpond this morning, the next few days will make for great boating weather, particularly offshore.

I think i'll wait for comments before I decide where i'm going...

Some good tides and weather for a reef trip over the coming days.
Might make the most of it before the reef closures start anyway.
Does anyone know if they start this month or next?

I think the reef closures start next month, the 10th Oct keeps coming to mind for some reason.

As for me it will be an early morning Barra (hopefully) sesh on the Bohle tomorrow and Sunday will have me out of bed dark and early to take some visitors out for a fish in the shipping channel, and around middle reef and virago shoals.

Does anyone know if the macks are still around?

Here we go, reef closures can be found on this site:

I knew it didn't start till October....

I'm thinking of just hitting the channel for some doggies.

Scott, the macks are there year round mate. Except this winter for me anyway. I usually clean up in Autum on the doggies.
