Unwanted fathers day present

Like many on fathers day we decided to head to peel island for a day with the family.Pulled up at Redland Bay ramp to find half the carpark stil fenced off for the islanders and the other half full as a catholic school bus.There were about 6 cars without trailers parked in trailer sites and no other places to park. So me thinks I have a 4WD I will pull up in the little garden type area the same as about three others that I saw.Upon arriving back I was greeted with a liitle slip of paper from the local council parking inspector.Bastard. There were another 4 guys all at the ramp spewing with tickets also. Some parked the same as me others half on gutter,half nature strip outside the carpark.Needless to say there wil be some nasty mail hitting that council soon.Any other Ausfishers get done??

I have been known to park those 'Single-car-in-a-trailer-park' people in on occasion. If they wont show me courtesy then I wont show it to them....

Granted its rare that I will do that.

I have also seen (and thought of it myself) people dragging them out with their 4wd's.

get the phone number off your ticket and put it in your mobile phone and ring up and report the cars in the trailer park and give the regos numbers. On the weekends I think it is security firm that responds and they turned up quickly, they did at Vicky Pt when single cars where in the trailer parks and I had no where to park.

Redlands Council Regulated Parking 07 3829 8502 or $50 for the ticket to get the number.

It doesn't just happen down there either thats for sure. I know three place up here on the northside that cope the same treatment and I have even witnessed a council do a ticket for someone who pared the car and trailer in the wrong spot but didn't for the three cars that where parked in the car & trailer bays.

My comment to him was not real polite and he responded with they could park there in those bays but the trailer was illegally parked. So how can you win???

Happened here at the Townsville ramp last year however it was about 30 people that got pinged. Lots of letters to the paper etc etc and a few said on principle they would go to court......
Bottom line is that so many ramps just dont have enough parking for trailers...and always inconsiderate bastards with no trailers that park in trailer spots.....what do you do?? You cant do a 3 point turn in a 2 way st with a 25 foot trailer......

Yes,Townsville ramp is hell for parking. A few years ago I got done along with a heap of others. Same deal,lots of cars in there without trailers.

Next few weeks there were bricks thrown through windscreens of the cars with no trailers. Just lazy shits who were on the ferry to Magnetic island...
