    Eastern Bay sun2

With all the great reports coming in during the last week expectations were high today for some big snaps of placcies. It was a late start however and at about 10:30 Me and a mate left manly the trip across the bay. The trip was fairly slow in the less then perfect conditions, but it did mean there weren't too many people out fishing. Upon arrival the conditions proved trying with a east north easter blowing at about 15kts it made it hard to fish and get the placcies to the bottom. Even the 1/2oz didn't seem to be getting there. A few drifts yielded one keeper at 36cm and a couple of just under throw backs. The decision was made to look for some more productive ground and we stopped at the nelson were we had the place to ourselves. On the first drift I hooked up and brought a 50cm model to the boat before it managed to free itself before being guided to the net. No matter next drift a 53cm made its way into the esky. A few more drifts resulted in one big bust up (probably a cod) and a few dropped fish. The current was really racing however and there was only a small window to fish so we left them biting and headed for home. No Photos today as every one has seen a 36cm and a 53 cm snap before and the big esky looked pretty pitiful with the 2 little fish in it .

    Cheers Chris

G,Day Chris, Mate as they say you should have been there yesterday.
No matter they will just be larger for your next trip.
Its good to see you still got a feed of fresh snapper for your efforts.
Lets hope with more rain predicted this coming week they will fire up again next weekend.
    Cheers Brent
