    Scarbie reef friday

Went out this morning at 5.30 headed to my new spot at scarborough anchored up but no bite's looked up at my marks after the first hour when the sun was up and relised i should of been another couple hundred yards south so hauled anchor moved onto the spot. first cast up comes an under sized snapper ,throw him back wait for 15 min or so and a mate opens up a beer next minute his line go off drops the beer (lol) strikes at the fish line twists around the bail arm and he loses the fish bugger, ten minutes later i seen the slack in my line take up pick up the rod and set the hooks and off he goes, it takes a couple of minutes to turn his head get to the boat and net a nice 58 cm snapper thought they might start to come on but after that we got one more under sized fish and that was that so headed back to the ramp at 9.30

58 cms! jeeze ya gotta be happy with that. Commiserations to your mate, personally I prefer to drink after 10. am....but that's just me.

BTW if you havent written a nasty letter to government yet, get cracking because come October next year you wont be able to fish there ever again if we dont stop the bastards.
