    Lowrance Temp Sensor Problem

    Hi folks,
    I have a Lowrance 337CDF.

    When I display the water temp, it reads 0 and flashes. Since the temp sensor is built in to the transducer, does this mean that is the problem???

    or is there some setting I should check. I thought I had a good look through the settings, but there isnt much there.

    Its not a real big deal for me, but any help would be appreciated.

    Is there maybe an ausfisher on the sunny coast with the same model??? maybe I could try my unit on your transducer??? or try yours on mine??

    I would love to get to the bottom of this.

    It'll be your transducer, the temp sensor has probly gone faulty.

    Heath,

    Thanks a million for your reply. I was thinking that the transducer might be the problem, but didn't know how to test this (short of putting my head unit onto someone elses transducer).

    I wonder can I use say a multimeter or something to test the temp from the transducer? I'm guessing probably not.

    I had a similar fault with my LMS332. turned out to be a loose battery connection. Everything else in the boat still worked fine ( starter, trim/tilt/ GPS/ sounder) just the temp read all over the place and sometimes not at all.

    If you can islolate the two wires in the plug that go to the temp sensor and put a multi metre across the pins and then dip the transducer in warm/hot water you will see a movement in the ohms reading on the meter.
