Nice going AC. It's comforting to see some good reports coming from the bay and surrounding areas once again. Has been slim pickings for a while now. Looking forward to trying my new rod and reel outfit out there real soon.

Haha - Tomorrows a write off as I jump on a plane to Sydney, my calendar is stuffed, treating today like it was Friday!!! By todays temp winter is long gone!! Can't wait to get out there, I'm going bananas thinking about it

Going by your winter reports i can imagine you must be thrilled to finally hook a big fish during the winter months.
You did well to land it on 8lb gear.
The big snapper are just to good to catch just once.

Great fish Alleycat,

Been fishing the river lately and caught some good squire - due to mud shutdown. Went out on Monday after the rain and forgot to put the flares back in the boat. Mud was beckoning but had to stay in the river and could only manage some small ones. The rain has flushed them out inot the bay for sure.
