    Re: Snap Attack

Just coming down from the high from yesterday. Brilliant weather some good fish and plenty of other action .
At one stage I had half a dozen BIG YT Kings chase my lure to the surface . They were at least 15kg and would have tested the Struddy 2-4kg if they had connected

Late in the day a big LT Tuna started feeding so I was silly enough to throw my placky at it. 20mins later the 14lb leader wore through. I don't think I was making any impression on it at that stage. I think I might need one of Eric's Egrell or Bear rods to pull up those sort of fish .

I agree that the rain probably moved the bait wider but the reports seem to show that its coming back in. As for the gear it was my heavy outfit with 10kg braid that did the damage.

What boat were you in at Manly?
The jigs were TT 5/0H in 1/4 -1/2oz

I think the rain will turn it on this week. Plenty more good fish to come to terms with. 4lb gear is for catching bait. I get bored with fighting fish for too long . I tend to use 8lb most of the time with my heavy rig at hand when I need it

    Webby
Darn plastics are still not working. Not worth putting on your line . I will let you know when they are worth trying Whatever you do don't put a placky on your line

I was on my way to the ramp to catch a ride with Russ81. It must have been your brother though.

    Cheers Chris

Yea Chris. I could only get the one day. Glenn has fished most days this week so it would have been him on Tues
