blaze from fremantle
Well put some mile on the car and feet sussing out all the good info to get a chance at catching a fish. Talked to a couple of boat shops and local tackle stores, must say they were all friendly, supplied good info and even printed maps for me.
Loaded up with bait (prawns and mullies) and off to my chosen location which was a pier/gmome oppistate Austtel (where they build them cats) to try and catch a jewie, pinkie, tailer in that order, or failing that, any thing that would bite.
As luck would have it, the fish won the day with the only strike for the day coming from a seagul (released unharmed). Spent about 8 hrs, but had a great time watching the world go by and the navy doing some playing in there big boats.
Also had the pleasure of fishing with a victorian guy for a few hours who thought I could give him the local goss on what was biting where, so I musta looked the part.
cheers

ps
tried to get a charter but its been too rough, I think they are a bit soft and cater for the tourists and dont want them throwing up
