PETA,,,,,, honestly what next,,,you'll be surprised

i put up a post awhile back on PETA and the new kids on the block SPOOF,,,,

well not to be outdone PETA approached the US Govt with this little request

PETA Proposes Excise Tax on Meat
PETA Proposes Excise Tax on Meat

PETA wants you to pay ten cent tax on meat

    June 4, 2007 (National)

Are you a meat and potatoes kind of guy? If you like a good burger and fries, or fried chicken and biscuits, animal activists think you ought to pay more for your meal.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has kicked off a new “Tax Meat” Campaign, proposing a $.10 per pound excise tax to be paid on meat, the same way that gasoline, tobacco, and alcohol taxes are paid so that tax is calculated into the retail price.

PETA suggests that money raised by its “Tax Meat” scheme could be “put into health education and preventative medicine.” Translation – the money could be used to advocate vegetarian and vegan diets and promote the animal rights movement.

Animal activists have also asked federal lawmakers to give tax breaks to those who have sworn off the consumption of animals.

On May 30, PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk sent letters to Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nanci Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid urging them to extend vegetarians the tax breaks that hybrid car owners receive for purchasing vehicles with low carbon emissions. She claims vegetarians are responsible for fewer greenhouse-gas emissions and environmental degradations than meat-eaters.

mmmmm,,,, makes sense doesn't it?????????? doesn't it???????

well apparently they have now demanded the same on ALL marine animals including crustaceans,,,,,,, the Californian Govt (onya Arnie) has promised to look further into the idea of the tax and will report back after there next sitting

let me see,,, thats $$$ to buy your equipment/boat/bait/gear/fuel/and now additional $$$ for a tax to buy any seafood that you get from the takeaway/restaurants

    choppa
    can it get any better??????????????,,,,,,,,,,,,,,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgG_TxEPaQE

    Uggggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!

My, but they do make my head hurt.

I swear, they won't be happy until they can attach marionette strings to everyone and make us all behave "as we should."

Pelosi and Reid are just the leftist clowns to go for something like this too. We'll see what happens. Hopefully, it goes nowhere.

I'd call them idiots, but I can't because idiots are too dumb to know what they're doing. These creeps know exactly what they're doing.

............and um...........how to put this delicately?............what does she mean that vegetarians are responsible for fewer greenhouse gas emissions? Ever spend much time around one of them thar bean-eating vegetarians? GOOD GAWD!!!!!!

My country is goin' nuts! Anyone want to adopt me for a while?

If only vegetables would become meat eaters and chow down heartily on a PETA activist a day.....the world would be happy once more within 3 days.

PETA also organised a "models" rally where the models (male and female) strutted down the road, wearing very few clothes with signs saying rather be naked than wear fur. Anyway theres a few pics in the courier mail website. One pic shows a couple of the models shoes... they look like LEATHER to me and another female model yelling the slogan... but it looks like she has had botox (from pigs) injections in her lips. it quite funny and hypocritical.

The pics and story available here:

I have never laughed so much in my whole life! PETA!!! I cant even type, cause of LMFAO. 0 cent tax on meat! Thats the way I like it! I know, they haven't been to a butcher shop lately and seen the prices, and if the world is taken over by vegetarians, Iam going to bite them. Its a little over the top, but everyone is entitled to their opinion, well serious one's anyway.

"Rabbit r---ing, grass eating, inbreads."! Well its just not natural not to eat meat!

Bugger this, Iam going for a hamburger.

They make me laugh but i know i shouldnt .Why? Because this people are dead serious and have the financial backing to pull something like that off and more.Still the thing bothers me most about them is the complete denial and ridicule of our forefathers ways .There is no compromise with this people its their way or nothing.Unfortunately they gaining power. My grandfather would shot them on the spot ,what are our options?

Something to think about.... Part of lifes great mysteries:

The "good" folks at Peta want you to stop eating meat/fish and wearing leather/fur and in short abusing any kind of animal right? Why? because its cruel and "inhumane".

What then do they feed their Dogs and Cats? (the ones they dont kill) oops sorry "companion animals". Why is it suddenly humane to feed cats and dogs meat (even the dried variety) when it inhumane for people to eat it???

Peta also says that if people love their cats and dogs - they should spay/neuter them. So its not inhumane to deprive a little doggy of his doggyhood?

They also say that keeping pets OUTSIDE the house is inhumane... is it humane therfore to lock a great dane or greyhound inside a house and have them sh#t all over the carpet??

Could be just me - but these people are WEIRD!
