My imagination but does Diesel smell differant now

Hi guy's something has been bothering me for the last month or so.

It's the fumes from a diesel truck, or 4WD, it's got me buggered but it smells differant not the usual smell (which I didn't mind the smell of ) but something more like rotton eggs, or brake pads burning.

I only notice it following a truck up a long hill but they sure don't smell the same anymore.

    Anyone else notice it ?
Have they changed something in the fuel.

Or should I get back on the smokes again.

Gut's a biodiesel blend? There is room to add ethanol (or a near relative) to diesel, coming to a station near you!!

    cheers fnq

Thanks, FNQ, Bio fuel would smell like fish and chips wouldn't it.

Hmmm might make y'a hungry for fish and chips then.

Bugger the Maccas, think I will start a chain of fish and chip stores up and down the highways.

Guts something to do with sulphur content being reduced, but I think it happened a while ago.....Where have you been ?????lol.....
Or have you just finally built up enough toxicity in your fat to be able to not smell
        properly anymore ?????

Maybe it's just some brakes that need adjusting or cabbage for lunch

I used to drive trucks years ago.

One place had cheaper diesel than any other around, so I bought from him.

It smelled more of sulphur. Apparently it was cheaper imported diesel that has a higher sulphur content.

I don't think my truck ran as well on this stuff, so I changed back to the local product and got much less sulphur smell.
