Went down today and checked out Mooloolaba too. Good day for it wasn't it

Would you believe a couple swimmers had to be ordered out of the surf

that doesn't surprise me gunna some people have no idea. Wouldn't have got me in the water swimmin. No trouble getting a car park today though. Beachie na no fishing today mate that would have been as smart as swimming.

I went for a sticky beak about 9 am today. I was surprised how little swell there was.

The wind was due south and I think Moerton Island was taking the worst of it.

I still would not want to go out in that sh1t but I have also seen it much worse.

I have seen people surfing that bank at the river mouth too!

Wade ive been headin out through this entrance for 20 years now and when waves break across there like that its bloody nasty outside, very nasty! U know the 1st time i went in an 18ft sharkcat it was blowing 30+ knots, i was looking at buying the boat so he wanted to show me what they can do! We headed out through that entrance waves breaking across, man we were gettin some airtime that day. I didnt buy that boat but got me hooked on a cat. I was amazed never forget that day.

This time of year with Mullet and Tailor runs on + murky water, there is another reason why I wouldn't like to be swimming near ocean bars = things with teeth!
