have a look at www.australiapost.com.au and that'll give you a few options. You've got to watch the length and make sure you pack the rod properly too!!

I have used Comet lots of times when I have been on trips to Mooloolaba and Caloundra, I just put the rods in my home made rod tube, call them and next day they pick it up, it is on my mates door either next day or the day after, costs less than $20 and I then do not need to fool around with rods and stuff at the Airport, but of course you need someone at the "other end" or you will need to pick it up at the Comet Depot, I have also used Australian Air Express, same service and time frame.

Australia Post will not take anything over 1.05 metres, although you may get away with it being a bit longer from time to time

Try couriersplease.com.au or busfreight.com.au or smartsend.com.au or comet as suggested above
    Some may have length restrictions.

I have had 5 rods delivered from melbourne to me in Brisbane. All with Australian Air Express. All arrived perfectly and all over night.

If you live near cleveland, i have 5 rod tubes, you can have one if you want to pick it up. How long is the rod? give us a ring

    Re: Posting Off Rods

I used Australian Air Express to send a 5'6" bland from Townsville to Melbourne a couple of weeks ago. Put it in a PVC tube and padded too. Cost $30 for the overnight service. The four day option was only $3 cheaper...
