Re: deep cycle batteries
Was on a 4x4 site and a lot of guys on there just ran a cheap cracking battery and toss it in 6 months. I am about to change my deep cycle battery and give this a go my current deep cycle battery and only lasted 18months they just cant handle the up and down cycle. hope this helps cheers

Re: deep cycle batteries
I use Turbo Batteries wetcells for my leckies and so far they havbe not had an ounce of trouble in 3 yrs and they get drained down pretty low.
Keep them topped up when in storage and they will last a lot longer.

Re: deep cycle batteries
Have a look at the MARINE PRO made by century.. they are sort of deep cycle and should run a elect motor for a decient amount of time.. I run these in my cruiser for powering a fridge.. Also the biggest factor is what you use to charge it, a standard $50 charger will kill a deep cycle battery in 6mths..$250 will get you a CTEK charger that is designed for these batteries and the batteries will last years. My last battery was removed only because it rubbed through the side, it was 5yrs old, so if you can get a good battery and a good charger and you will be boating for years....
