Aluminium boat builders Cairns

I am looking to get redesigned floatation pods fabed up (possibly) but definatly need someone to weld them up and on, does anyone know of any good builders who also do mods in Cairns?

Yeah,

Used Nev at NB Prop works, when I was up there, did a good job. Quay Marine also outsource all there welding repairs etc to NB so they must be ok.

Thanks fez but I cannot use your suggestion, I had my never wet brand new outboardless hull there for some floor support welding (no fab just welding), and got it back with the outer aluminium rub rail damaged by a runaway drill bit -possibly, too strange for me and dare I say it well beneath me also.

Ocean blue are too busy till next month English engineering is sending someone over to quote on it for me this week, anyone know them? sounds like they do a fair bit of boat stuff.

Have you tried cairns custom craft ? Father in law got his boat built there,came up very good.

i do no of a guy, he is off Hartley street, city side of Hartley as you no its a long street, he has a 5.5 - 6 m plate boat outside his shop ( unfinished ) or go see a guy called George at Airparth same street right down the end just past Cairns Service Center ( 111 Hartley St ) and Busa smash repairs. he might help you out
