Arrived at spot X at 9:40 and 4 of first 6 casts resulted in fish
final tally for the night 9 keepers including a pb of 57cm 1 throwback and 3 others that were legal including 1 around the 60-70 mark that were dropped trying to get them out of the river (i really need a net haha) home by 11:50

A bit hard to visualize. You haven't told us what fish you caught.Put me out of my misery and post up some pics so that I don't have to guess.

down here bag limit is 10 but only 1 over 70cm although i personally would never keep a female too important to the system. Between the 5 of us we ate the lot, i only keep them if i get enough to feed us all otherwise release them went again this morning in same spot and got 1 bream 27cm and 3 flathead 37cm 38cm and 42cm which were all released as would not have fed the lotof us
Hey when you catch a small feed they call it an "entree" don't they? lol

9 fish between 5 of you = only 1 feed. You guys obviously love your fish.
But if you love your fish so much, when you release a fish, how do you know that you are not gonna catch 'enough to feed the lot of you'.
Dont tell me you keep them in a catch net or something until the days over then release the poor buggers if you dont catch 'enough'.
Personally i decide before i head out whether i'm going for a feed or for fun. (pending whats on offer at home that night) If i dont catch enough then the missus starves hehe.
Dont mean to sound funny but you must have esp or something........ and i just love sticking it to a Cockroach whenever i get the chance. LOL
Lucky you dont live in QLD (5 dusky bag limit) otherwise your family would starve, hugh.

hey there, if i catch 5 or more i keep them anything under and it's not worth it. i have a huge fish tub with an airator to keep 'em alive till i know i've got a feed and then if the situation arises let the smaller ones go. Gee you cane toads are thick lol.... they must put that limit on up there so u have chance to bag it hahahaha....
